Stonyridge Venus, call name Lou
Lou is our three-year-old WPG who has an abundance of prey drive, is highly trainable, and has the most desireable coat of any Griffon I have known. She easily duck hunts in the coldest of weather without issue and can hunt all day long in the opening days of September. She is the "fan favorite" whenever we take her anywhere due to her happy demeanor and sweet face. Take her hunting, and her nose is to the ground with an intensity and focus that is fascinating to watch. As a pup she received the Natural Ability score of 97, Prize II. Lou only hesitated with water entry to retrieve a bumper, but after her first duck hunt her desire to make water retrieves is evidenced by the photo on this page... those were her ducks after her first hunt. Lou comes from a long line of proven hunters. Her maternal grandmother Stonyridge Nika received her Versatile Champion title in 2017 and her great-grandsire also carries the coveted VC title. Continuing the legacy, Lou's litter also received a breeders award.
Lou will be bred to Cascade's Give Me Birds (Sage) on her next heat cycle (for the C litter) afterwhich her trainining for the Utility test will resume. Lou tested negative for the Tan point Gene.
